The blog has recently become a bit of a community affair, with local people sending me photos and ideas for little stories, which is great. It was a photo sent to me recently that prompted the idea for a ‘Now and Then’ feature.
Today was the perfect day for the 'now' photo; warm with clear blue skies, and as it’s Easter, there were quite a few people out and about enjoying the sunshine. I stood as close as I could to the spot where the original photo has been taken from.
Of course, the harbour has changed since these days, but you can still pick out landmarks such as the town hall with it’s square turret, the same granite buildings and there were even some fishermen selling this morning's catch from the quay.
